About Us
BSRI was founded as a 501(c)3 in 1976 to facilitate public health research within the non-profit sector.
In 2015, new leadership saw a need in South Florida for equitable and responsive evaluation and research services toward using data for action and creating long-term systems change. BSRI emerged as a community-based research organization dedicated to serving as a bridge between traditional academic research and community-led initiatives.
Today we strive to serve our partners by taking a collaborative and community-centric approach to mixed methods evaluation to solve critical public health problems.
Core Values
